[Recording from tape deck, auto track marking?]

Hi folks

I am recodring from a tape deck, (not directly, it goes through my amp), but it workd, my question is can I get auto track marking, or do I have to sit there and press record button to mark a new track when I hear the track from source changing. I have the mds jb980

any help would be great

[MGOpen software can't see MDS JE780]

Hi folks

I just acquired the MDS JE780. I already had Sonicstage installed, that can see the unit okay, and I have succesfully transferred music from my PC, however, when I open MGopen Jukebox, the JE780 can not be seen, not suer what the reason is, any ideas? Thanks

Format's that I accept are:

MD 80 minute (Standard)

MD - 140MB (LP2, LP4)

MD - 300MB (Atrac3, Atrac3plus, MP3)

Sorry I can't help with the music, but having seen this post, even thoguh this may not be the right place to ask, but what is the md 300mb you speak of, and how are they made? On which unit?

That is because the output from the PC is a Constant State signal ,and unless the Software itself sends a track marker it probably wont , I have the same problem on my Macbook Pro

I discovered today that if I do not use "music-sync", I do not have the problem. I am using the sony mds-jb940, a great machine

Hello all

When recording from my computer, (albums which have been ripped from cd), the md player does not automatically increment the tracks, as I do get when recording from the cd player, I would have thought as the gaps are there from the cd, it would work in the same way. I hope this is clear.
