I am very interested in the MZ-DH10P and have found some sellers at very reasonable prices. The problem I am having is that I am finding a lot of conflicting information on different websites regarding whether the machine has analogue Line-In and Mic inputs, or even a digital optical input. On minidisc.org it states that the machine has none of the above, but various websites (including one or two official Sony ones) are stating that it has all 3 of the above. I have read a mixture of good and bad reviews of the product on various websites. These range from people who bought it saying they have been able to transfer audio from cassettes to the unit through its Line-In, and even record in 44.1Khz PCM, to other people saying they are disappointed with their purchase as it turned out to have no inputs at all, contrary to what they had read on official sony documentation. All this has lead me to deduce one of 2 things: EITHER The model is offered with different specifications in different countries OR The model has been released in different versions throughout its production run. The service manual available from this forum was published early in 2005, right at the start of the production run, and gives no mention of any inputs. It states it is for US model, UK model, Chinese model, AEP and Tourist models whatever they may be. To further support the theory that some versions have inputs, there are several websites selling a Sony plugin microphone which specifially states is the perfect companion for Hi-MD recorders amongst which it lists the MZ-DH10P. So why list a mic for a model that has no inputs? Some of them must do. I also read somewhere that somebody said the US model has no graphic equaliser that he had been lead to believe was a feaure of the model. Can anyone give an explaination of which models have the inputs, or even better just sell me one at a good price Appreciate any information. Thanks
