  1. Thanks for the reply. It doesn't make any noise like this when just playing/uploading. I can't remember my old MZ-R50 doing any noise at all. I've looked at the zoom h2. Maybe it would suit my needs better...
  2. I should have made it clear that the mp3 is just an example of how it sounds. I placed the mic close to the unit and then normalised the audio file afterwards. What I want to know is: does it make a noise while recording? It's a very irritating noise. Enough to draw everyones attention in a quiet room. I can't have it like that. It makes the same noise if you transfer files from the computer to the player. Also the sound comes and goes when recording for a longer time. To me it sounds as if something is loose and vibrating.   3. Hi all, I'm a bit let down. When I first tried to record something on my brand new minidisc there was some kind of mechanical noise (listen to the attached mp3). It varies a bit according to how you hold it. Is this normal??? Nils noise.mp3
