  1. Hi! some time ago i've bought a Sharp ST-66 (my first MD) was really cheap less than 20 bucks, y came with 11 discs, 2 tdk, 1 maxell, 3 axia and 5 sony, but one of the sonys was an special Utada Hikaru REDHOT special edition md disk, (with u2 recorded on it ) the sharpie was bought on japan, all the disc had labels written in Kanji (i guess) i've tryed to found some info about the disc and only came with 2 ads on youtube, one for the Stamina Battery and other for the MD blank disc. Sony Stamina Sony 80Mins MD http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wY4ohTJj8hM I left you some pics of my disc, is not mint, but is still strange. Any info is appreciated, and if you like the pics well good, are rare to find pics of this disc. thanks in advance

    Sharp MD-SR50

Hi! i just bought on ebay two minidisc players a sharp ms702 and a SR50, both say that can't read discs, the 702 is almost dead, but the sr50 only had a broken gear, witch i use the same gear of the 702, and now the sr50 can read disc awesome, but i can't write them... when i want to write it says "CAN'TWRITEu" or "MD-ER41" the magnetic head is touchin the disc gently but still doesn't write, maybe when i dissamble to replace the gear maybe i dissalign the magnetical head from the laser?. thankyou for everything, sorry for the bad english... jeje it's because i only speak spanish...
  4. amazing, where i live is really hard to get a blank md, the players or recorders are very difficult to get, the my one was bring from the capital , buenos aires, i live in arroyito cordoba, and was hard to get one of those, i even ask in all the capital of cordoba, and i can't get nothing!, some day i'm going to have a hi-md, the minidisc is like the best thing in the audio world , here is also very expensive to get a minidisc recorder, a mz-r500 cost $100 dollars o even more, each blank md costs like $4 ($10 argentinian), and even the headphones are expensive, a mdr-e811 sony common headphones, costs $80 argentinan ($25 dollars) a gumstick battery costs $30 dollars, thanks for the info, if you use msn messenger let's chat. cheers
  5. thanx again, so a hi-md player costs like $200 dollars, very impressive...
  6. thx very much, i will love to go to that place, looks like heaven!!, except that you have to pay..., i can understand the prices, it's on yens, but how many yens a dollar costs?
  7. some days ago i bought a st-66 almost new, with 11 recorded mindisc and the remote for just $70 argentinian pesos (like 20 dollars), but without the battery charger, i build one with a piece of wood, two nail, two diodes a a cell phone charger, is not the ideal thing but it works... i look all over the internet and found nothing! (nothing thats help to build it), i found the patent!! but it dosen't says the voltages o the circuitry, so please help me to use this minidisc in the way that was designed, the charger has four pins, two of them ar directly a short to the internal battery, in those two also you can connect a external battery (AA battery). sorry for my bad english, it's because i'm argentinian
