I have a sony mz-n10 minidisc player. Well I wanted to transfer some music so I connected the dock with the usb cable to my computer and I put my player in the dock. But my computer wouldnt recognize it at all. I made sure that every cable is correctly plugged in. I tried different usb ports, with or without the dc adaptor, restarted my computer a couple of times, used different discs. I reinstalled sonicstage. Checked the manuals for trouble solution but theres nothing And the strangest thing about it is that when I disconnect my minidiscplayer it automaticly goes in the PC>>MD mode when its not even connected to the pc at all. I wont let me do anything at all like music playback. Well I solved this problem by switching the internal battery on and off. But when I try to connect it again to my computer I get the same thing.. so basicly 1) When in dock -> it functions normally, it charges normally but I cant get it to connect to my pc 2) When out of dock -> it doesnt function normally but its stuck in permanent pc>>md mode unless I switch the internal battery on and off. But this is just a temporary solution as it goes back to this mode as soon as I place it in the dock again. This is when the usb cable is plugged in. Without the usb cable everything functions as it suppose to be. Is there someway to reset my minidiscplayer or upgrade the firmware?
