I just got mine NH520D in the mail today... After 2 hours of installing the newest version of SS and playing around with the drivers I got my Vista recognize the device. When I connect it without a disk in, it the SS sees the Net MD and asks to insert a disk.. I insert a blank disk that came with the player, unlock it by turning this thing into the recording position.. The device starts to spin disk madly and I can't even stop it, it goes for dozens of minutes... I thought the disk is damaged. I tried two other ones... No matter if my NH520d is connected to the PC or not it is all the same thing.. It just spins the disk and I wait. I makes the same noises repeatedly and still can't recognize that disk is blank. When I hit stop button it doesn't do anything. I tried to format it.. First of all when the disk is inside the player SS doesn't recognize it and gives me the Initialization error 000062e. Is my device broken? Should it recognize blank unformatted disks at all?.. Should I try to install the earlier SS version on my another PC with the Win XP and try to make SS to format it?... I am totally confused... Feels really bad that I can't use this baby.. PLEASE HELP!
