Hi there, it is frustrating that Sony does not make anymore of those dry battary cases. I like your mod for the external battery case with USB and the resistor, 1 question though, during the charging (that is, power supply via 4AA+resistor) do you need to have the rechargeable battery inside? Many thanks!
