Hi, I currently have a Sony MXD-D40 unit. I'm looking to purchase another minidisc deck (not a portable unit) that's compatible with everything I've recorded, in mono, on the D40 and its predecessor over the last 10 years or so. I have around 90 recorded MDs (that I use in creating radio shows) and I need a new unit that will play them with no problems. I realize that this is no longer a viable technology, but it's important that I'm able to retain the ability to use what I've got for the next several years. I need something that's available in the U.S. and is no more than $250. I would buy something from e-Bay, but with all the buzzwords, I don't know about the compatibility issue.
