My Sony Minidisk unit has turned up missing, I had great results using this device. It had numerous features that were compatible with the type of recording i was engaged in. 1. I am unable to find reference to the unit i had previously. It was "metallic blue" i believe all the units of this model were metallic blue. 2. This unit has a usb and optical interface. 3. This unit has a compressor/limiter function. 4. I believe this unit had an auto mic level function. I have yet to see a portable recording unity that had the features and ease of use this Sony minidisk had. I am desperate to replace it or "UPgrade" if possible. I need to know what the audio-philes are using now. HELP!! Whats going on, I see all the stores that carried the minidisks are no longer. Has everyone gone to Digital Recording Devices? If so what are they using. I want to stick with the minidisk format it is cheap and reliable.
