Thanks for the info, i misunderstood what was written. I thought that only those models could get a firmware upgrade. I've had 2 other MDs before and just didn't notice with this one that my files were not converted to Atrac3. I guess what i was looking for is a firmware or way to transfer files thru windows without using sonicstage. like any other mp3 player out there. Thanks again.
