  1. Since discovering that my old MD recorder is completely useless, I need to buy a new one. I am doing a family history and interviewing all the surviving members of the older generations. I have a trip coming up so need to make a decision ASAP but feel like I'm starting at square one again. I don't want to repeat my last mistake of buying it online and then way down the road realizing that the software won't work right and they will not give me technical assistance since it was made for the Japanese market. So......any suggestions for a decent, affordable minidisk recorder? I don't need anything fancy. Thanks, jj
  2. Ok, I have no idea what any of that meant but I will get a technophile friend to help me. Thank you!!!
  3. Hi, I have an IM-DR420H MD recorder that I bought about 5 years ago. Unfortunately I lost the Beat Jam software that goes with it so I cannot get my recordings (treasured family interviews) off the minidisks and onto a CD. Any advice? I am willing to buy the BeatJam software (if I can find it) but have heard that this model of MD recorder was made in Japan (I didn't know that when I bought it) and the software will not work properly on my PC (I'm in the States). Help please!!!! JJ Richardson Durham, NC jjonthehaw@yahoo.com

I lost the BeatJam software that came with it a while ago and need to figure out how to get my audio recordings (treasured family interviews) off the minidisks and onto a CD. Would be willing to buy BeatJam again but have heard that this model is from Japan (didn't know that when I bought it) and the software may not work properly on my PC. (I'm in the States.) Help please!!! Any advice out there? JJ Richardson Durham, NC jjonthehaw@yahoo.com
