I use SonicStage with my PSP for music atm.

Yeah I had a look at the DN430 but after USD-AUD conversion it costs more than a NH-600. And at least that way I can have Hi-MD as well. Looks like I'll get a NH-600 so far, unless there is a good reason to get a RH1. And if I got the NH-600, what remote would be best??

I know that most models are discontinued, thats why I asked about the two models in my original post. I suppose it wouldn't be too bad getting a second hand model, as long as it was in good condition, as I don't want a device thats going to die on my in a couple of months time. And another question, would I be better using XP instead of Vista with my MD unit?? Because that would probably be the reason that I downgrade to it (apart from speed).

But would I be able to get a NEW NH700?? Because I don't really want to buy a second hand one. Or import one as the AUD is quite weak compared to the USD.

It's the NH600 with line input. And if a battery module will let me record, where will I find one??

Hi, I'm in the process of deciding which Hi-MD device to purchase. Before anyone says "Why not iPod?" is because I want something thats not an iPod and I already have most of my music in ATRAC3plus. Now I have the choice of the MZ-NH600 with bonus 5 MiniDiscs and Extra Batteries etc. for AU$79. The other choice is the MZRH1 for AU$479. The reason I'm considering the NZRH1 is for microphone input as I would like to do a music production course and that would help with on the fly recordings. Anywho, any advantages or disadvantages for each would be appreciated. Thanks.
