ah,well,the battery that came with said it was full,but i charged up my NI-MH batteries and tried one of those and now it works fine. need to get an an AC adapter for it

driver problem? i get the concept but i'm not really sure what would be conflicting with the transfer.

ah,right,i was trying to transfer to the MD in SP transfer mode. tried converting the mp3 beforehand, and letting sonicstage take care of it, and in either case it just stalls at a random % and disconnects.

Just got one of these today,and when attempting to transfer any song of any bitrate or size it stalls at a random point during the transfer,informs me the track can't be transferred, and disconnects.
