Disregard this post. I had bid on an N707 and was promptly outbid, however, the highest bidder chose to retract their bid moments from auction closing which resulted in me winning. I'm not sure if this is the model I was looking for or not, but I'm somewhat stuck with it now. Hopefully it will be what I'm expecting. EDIT: It didn't come with an optical cable so I'm wondering exactly what cable I'm looking for and if it can be found at monoprice or the like, thanks!

I've recently become interested in MiniDisc and I have no experience with the format. I've looked around the forums and figured out MDLP, HiMD, NetMD and all of that stuff, but I'm trying to pick an ideal player. $50 is about all I have to spend right now, I'm willing to wait for a deal on a player, but please no recommendations more than $10-15 outside of my guidelines. I'm looking for a a player with good sound quality a screen that shows track info, and an optical in port. If this can't be done for $50 then please list what you would recommend instead. I could care less about a remote, so if I can find one for sale without a remote that should make it a bit less expensive. Thanks!
