  1. Hi, Can anyone help me please? I also seem to have fallen into the same trap. After years of enjoyment, the battery in my NW-HD3 finally died. I got a new one for under a tenner, and from browsing various techy websites, got the impression that the process of replacing it was straight forward, and I suppose it was buuuuttttttt....... After removing the screws from the outer body, I carefully slid the unit out from it's cover until I could clearly access the battery. At no time did I experience excessive resistance yet I noticed afterwards that the ribbon cable which connects the controls on the front panel to the main board had become detached. With the length of this cable, it looks impossible to remove the unit as described without this happening! Of course, now the unit works but the main controls on front are dead. Is there any way I can re-attach to main board? Do I admit defeat and have the repair done professionally? Thanks Colin
