Hi there, I have now recorded from the BD player (via its RCA audio output) and the recordings are decent quality, so thank you very much for your replies, much appreciated.

Hi there, i have been recording from dvd without problems (soundtrack, movie dialogue etc.) but cannot get the MD unit (Sony H1-MD MZRH1B) to record from my new BD-player. MD is connected to an AV receiver (RCA into the tape in/out ports), as are the dvd player (via RCA) and the new BD dvd player (via HDMI). Is there a general problem with this set-up that does not allow audio streams from BD to be recorded the usual way that works for standard DVD? Would be grateful for any advice. Thank you very much.
