One Old-Timer

I need to know what the difference is between the model #'s I'm seeing online. So far I've seen the "BC-5600S-H1" the "BC-5600S-DH" the "BC-5600S-AR" etc. etc. Which one will work in a Vaio?!?!? And if anyone knows what plain old DVD/CD combo burner drive will work with this Vaio, PLEASE let me know! Any help with this is greatly appreciated!! - An old geezer that's used to ripping apart Apple //e's (tell ya how old I am?)
