  1. OK, I'll bite. How much will it cost to fix it? Including shipping from the NY area.
  2. Thanks. That's too bad but I'm lucky in that at least I do have a portable deck that I can record on.
  3. Hi, I also have a Sony MZ-R70*. I can get it to record but the power supply for it (AC-MZR55) does not power it. Batteries work fine. So, how do I tell if the power supply is dead or is there something I am doing wrong that is preventing it from working? I did try to hook up a battery tester, using the prongs to try to attach the positive to the inside tip and the negative to the shield but it didn't register when plugged in. I may not have been making contact though. Is there any other test I can do? Many thanks. If I can't get this power supply to work, I'll just keep using (rechargeable) batteries. Cheers, John L * I also started a thread on a Sharp MD-MS702 MK not recording.
  4. Hi, I've acquired a friend's minidisc recorder, a Sharp MD-MS 702 MK. I can plug a stereo mic into it (a Sony ECM-939LT) and hear what is happening around me whne I hit the record button on the Sharp. I then hit enter or the play button and it seems to be recording (the counter runs) but when I try to play that recording back, I hear nothing, even though the volume is all the way up or I vary it. It does play pre-recorded content just fine so I know it can play some discs. Am I doing something wrong? I have a manual but don't see what I need to do hear my own recordings. Many thanks for any help. Cheers, John L
