  1. But that is the problem kurisu, the connect software is a step back from SS. I could (and did) rip all my music to minidisc using SS. To then find that I cannot do this in its successor is somewhat frustrating. I've had my A3000 since the start of November. I was willing to accept the "Beta" software that the player shipped with. But its now the middle of Janurary and Connect still contains major bugs in its basic core functionality. If I brought a car, then on delivery was told i'd have to wait 8+ weeks for the wheels to be delivered, i would not accept that. Would you?
  2. After owning my A3000 since release November, and as a huge Sony fan boi, I've got to agree with you 100%. I can't rip most of my CD collection to my A3000 because they are Enhanced CD's. So I've got a portable music player which, because of the software part, can't play alot of my music, which kind of defeats the object...
  3. Hi just managed the latest update to install and can confirm : BUG: No track view for Enhanced CD's Still
  4. Empiredirect will order them for you, so will amazon. Got mine from Stoneaudio.
  5. I agree with this totally, my Ipod owning friends were very impressed with my A3000. Just gets to me how a company can create something like the A3000 then ship it with the current version of Connect
  6. Not scratched, as I've stated earlier in this thread, the CD's i'm having problems with are enhanced CD's (CD's with audio and CD-ROM content). The 2 discs I've listed can be ripped with SS, but connect can't rip em.
  7. Two disc's I've got that don't work are Meteora by Linkin Park and Deftones by The Deftones.
  8. Yup tried a few more "enhanced" CD's all with the same outcome, no tracklisting and the CD showing as DATA or no disc. Hope they fix this soon, got a fair few of these
  9. No tracks appear in the track view at all. The drive menu (top left box) shows the CD as just DATA CD. I've tried stopping the autorun before running connect, allowing the auto run, exiting from the CD's macromedia menu then running connect the whole works. Now I know its not the CD thats dodgy because I've ripped the same CD to Hi-MD using SS in the past, and it plays in media player fine. Ascariss, I'll try and take some and put em on my website, and yes the player did come in the nice presentation box
  10. Hi there, i've finally got my NW-A3000, and installed Connect player. Now apart from a crash after it had imported my SS files, all seemed well until I tried to rip tracks from a cd that has a data track. Connect refused to display any music tracks for the CD. Its displayed in the file manager as a DATA CD, no tracks appear in the track view despite it connecting to CDDB and retrieveing the CD info. Anyone else experienced this?
  11. Just to follow up, I exchanged the unit for another one, which had the same problem, so I go my money back and i've ordered an A3000.
  12. Hi there, i picked up an NW HD5 to replace my MD portable last week, and since i've had it i've encountered the following "problem". The player will stop playing a track, beep rapidly and display the message SYSTEM ERROR 020. I can then resume playback. I've searched on the net and discovered that the 1.2 firmware (which was installed on the HD5 when i purchased it) is supposed to stop this error or at least make the recovery automatic (which seems to be happening). So is this error normal or should i return the unit? Riggsby
