Not sure what you are asking on the first part, and no firewall on. I notice it does not crash if I load up music from my drive. But when I do it from a CD (mounted file via Daemon tools) it errors out. Used to work fine on XP...I'll keep playing with it. Thank you.

Greetings! I am using Windows8.1 and with a few tweaks, got SSUltimate working and I'm able to transfer music to my MD. But I notice when I copy from CD and the Gracenote logo pops up for CD info, it crashes SS and forces a close. Is anyone else having this issue?

Just Fantastic! I am sort of tech geek with a love of 'retro'. With all the new music hardware, phones, flash players, etc. I would consider this a bit of retro music player. I received my first Minidisc player last week from ebay and was very fired up. I got the NetMD MZ-NE410 in almost new condition, BUT...the Sony software was a total dream smasher. I searched and searched all night, tried my best to get it working but constantly got the 'cannot transfer issues' or it would get to the end, and stop at the last 3 or 4 tracks. Last night I found this site! Wow, the Ultimate Edition saved my bacon and sanity! I uninstalled the Sony version, installed this and am now cranking out my metal better than ever. Thank you so much for this, and I love the site. Glad to see a home for Minidisc users that is still alive and active!
