  1. That was it! I don't remember having to do that when my computer was on W8, before I updated, but my memory is unreliable for stuff like that anyway. Thanks everyone for the help!
  2. Good evening folks, I recently updated my computer to Windows 8.1 (64-bit), and I'm not sure that's the cause of my problem, but now the W7 64-bit driver won't work for my Net MD MZ-NF520D. I re-downloaded the driver from this website () and tried to update it under my Devices screen in Control Panel. But I got an error. Here's a screenshot of it: Any idea what's happening here? Thanks!
  3. Oh, I forgot to mention the MP3 files are sourced from an SD card, not the hard drive. You think that has something to do with it? OS is Windows 8 64-bit.
  4. Okay, this is getting stranger. Yes, the tracks are making it to the disc, 100% sure. I've played them off the player after the disc has been ejected and reinserted and the unit turned off and turned back on. But get this: I was fiddling with it a bit more tonight, and I can now burn as many tracks as I want to a single MD if I do the following: add a single track to the SonicStage library, burn it, then delete it from the SonicStage library, then do the same thing with each individual track. If I try to do multiple tracks at once, only the first 3 tracks will burn. Weird, huh? Thoughts?
  5. So the NetMD recorder I just got a few days ago will strangely only burn the first 3 tracks of any album I try to put on it. I tried burning the whole album, and only the first 3 tracks burned. So here's what else I tried: - Burning one track at a time: no go. - Burning another individual track, like the 7th track, to see if the 3rd track was just a bad MP3 file: no go. - Burning another album: no go. No matter what I try, I can only get the first 3 tracks onto my MD. SonicStage says the other tracks are non-transferrable. To recap, I have a refurb'ed Sony MZ-NF520D MD player/recorder, that I'm hooking up to a Windows 8 laptop through SonicStage 4.3 downloaded from this site. Any ideas?
  6. Hello all, my name is Michael, and I am completely fresh meat when it comes to MD technology. I just got a refurb'ed Sony MZ-NF520D MD player/recorder off of eBay a couple days ago. The reason I got it is because I have a Subaru Legacy B4 RSK that's imported from Japan, and it has a factory MD player in it. So I figured I'd take the plunge and see what the MD was all about. I have a Windows 8 laptop, and these forums were essential to getting the correct software and figuring out the drivers and all that to get it communicating with the computer. Thanks all for the excellent info! I already have some questions, though, which I'll get into in another thread. Just wanted to introduce myself here and give my thanks again for the e-help!
