Hi I had the same problem with my sony NW-A3000 I pluged it into my laptop the got error code 32 on the unit. Then it wouldnt turn off or do anything SO ! using computer logic I unpluged the battery ! left it for about 30seconds, reconeted the battery and guess what , it rebooted up perfectly and is now working perfect again. To do this you must first remove the small round silver walkman symble on the back using a very small bladed knife, under this is a very samll screw remove screw, now pry off the back cover againg using a small knife, once open on the left you will see two wires from battery going into a small white conector ( red and black wires may be covered by black tape ) unplug whit conector WAIT 30 seconds then just reconect and refit back plate. now unit should reboot as normal. j hope this has been useful
