What is Sony going to do for the bizzillion of us who have flashdrive players? Are they going to update the firmware so they work with MS-Media Player, etc.? Is there going to be a "patch" for us to use to 'drag and drop" files? Will we be stuck with Sonic Stage ver. 4.3.01.14050 forever? Is Sony turning my really good sounding flash player into a corporate created personal suppository? (Meaning..oh, you know what I mean!) Where can I get such a small device with FM tuner to replace it??? I don't need a video screen and movies I just want a very small, simple to use, solid high-end sounding flash player. Please, someone in the know, give me some answers, OK?

Yes, of course I have the headphones attached, but nothing but static and I have tried different headphones.

The FM on my NW-E005F picks up no ststions, just static. Has anyone had this problem? I did a reset, but when it scans, it finds no stations and tuning manually one-by-one, nothing but static. Please, some suggestions or some help!!!

What do that mean to me with a NW-E005F? Am I to be left out inthe cold with no music exchange program or will WMP 11 version be compatable with my device? I want sony to let me know:excl:

I got a letter saying that Sony was going to open their devices to MP3 Playback and they are shutting down the Connect Store March 8th. Does this mean Sony will issue a new version of Sonic Stage and Firmware updates for the NW-E005F and other product lines? I sure hope so becasue sonic Stage is a terrible dissapointment as an inteface.

First Make sure you do NOT have any Network server devices assigned to drive letters G: or F: Then with your device connected to the USB port, go to MY Computer: Right click on My Computer and select MANAGE. Select DISK MANAGEMENT. If you see your device listed as a removable device [mine shows up as Removable 1.90 GB FAT.] and it has NO drive letter assigned, then right click on it and select CHANGE DRIVE LETTERS and PATHS. In the Drive letter and paths window, assign your device a drive letter like G: by selecting ADD... Choose a drive letter adn click OK. It should now show up in My Computer.

I am so frustrated with Sonic Stage and the NW-E005F I'm ready to take it back to the store and demand my money back! I had the previous version of Sonic Stage (Is there any software any where that woeks slower? OH, yeh, the new version) It would not recognize my device. Ah! Along comes Sonic Stage 4.3 and I thought, "surely this software will work with the NW-E005F!" Oh contrare'! It took half of forever to download and install, then start up. The killer is whenever Sonic Stage has to "see" my player in the transfer window it coughs up a furball! "Omigjbox.exe has encounterd a problem and now must die." Error signature--------- AppName: ongjbox.exe Appver: 4.3.1.14020 ModName: omgjbox.exe Modver: 4.3.1.14020 offset: 002af15c I followed the on screen instructions and sure enough Sonic Stage was able to delete all my music, but not smart enough to be able to put anything back! Anyone have any suggestions???

I just downloaded SonicStage 4.2.02.11020 and my E005F has ver. 2.0 firmware, but the new version of sonicstage does not recognize my 005f and I can't transfer anything! Thanks for your help! And, Please, I do need it!!

My mistake. It is Sonicstage version 4.2.02 the firmware is version 2.0. Should I have removed the previous version of Sonic Stage rather than installing it over the older version? I really love the rich sound from the NW-E005F, the FM is a little week sonicly and for reception, but I didn;t buy it just for the FM!!!

I just downloaded SonicStage 4.5 and my E005F has ver. 2.0 firmware, but the new version of sonicstage does not recognize my 005f and I can't transfer anything! Thanks for your help!
