  1. Resetting the 1931 flag to FF seems to have worked!! Everything seems fine, with the exception of the OLED, of course. Somewhere online, I found a site that refers to a particular register to adjust the OLED power, but it was for a different model - know if the RH10 has these settings? Just curious if I could adjust to see if it makes a difference w/o disassembling to adjust pots... Thanks again for the support - good to have my unit working, again.
  2. 1931 is set to 10 - looks like it is the AdjFlg position, so probably the right address?
  3. Thanks Stephen, At this point, I'm less concerned about the OLED - I'd just like to get the unit working, again! Which byte needs tweaking (to what value) to ignore the "911: reset?
  4. Hi sfbp, If I were to send it to you for alignment, what would you charge? Looks like this may be my only option. The RH10 has only been used for live recording, and only a few. It is in excellent condition. The only original issue was the display turning dim, virtually overnight - it didn't dim gradually, or in places, as most seem to do. BTW, I do have several HiMd discs that were recorded, but never hooked to SS. Also blank ones, if that helps.
  5. Thank you, 1. I can get a prerecorded disc (probably E bay) 2. I only have the RH10, so reformatting a 74 or 80 min disc to hiMD is a problem. 3.I have quite a few 1GB discs, used once for live recording, but they aren't full. Your note says that there are problems if the 1GB disc isn't virgin - I'm not sure I understand, as in (3), you say the 1GB needs filled with data. I do have a new blank one, also. I am in California. Thank you so much for the help! I started this journey, because one day my display was really dim (not gradually or in places - it was perfect the last time I used it)
  6. Thanks for the quick reply! Do I need the service disc, or is it possible just using a pre-recorded disc?
  7. Does anyone have a list of their service mode settings for the RH-10? I managed to reset the thing, now only get Error EE. I saw a post, "How to Reset Sony MZ-Rxx Series MD Recorders", but the instructions don't seem applicable to the RH-10. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
