  1. That's what I was worried about. Unfortunately, there is a huge difference to me between normal iems and active canceling since I'm using this in a subway/city setting. I found a part number for the mdr-nc022 assembly on a couple electronics websites, buts it's eta is later in february. I'll keep waiting I guess.
  2. So I picked up a nw-s706F in japan a couple months ago. It was FANTASTIC. Unfortunately, due to some freak twist of fate, the 1 time I have my headphones unplugged from my unit, which was while visiting my parents in January, they were promptly misplaced and most probably destroyed by some combination of my OCD mother/her hyperactive and amazingly awesome dog. Either way, neither one is telling me where they are and I'm out of the noise cancelling goodness. So I've tried going through sony service and they can't find a model number on the headphones at all. I think my chances of a replacement part are slim, they've never heard of the mdr-nc022 (written on the side of the headphones), and all the reference on American Sonystyle to the nw-s705f says they contain mdr-ex90sl headphones, which I'm pretty sure is not the case considering those are not even noise cancelling. What should I do? Short of buying a cheap(er) nw-s703f! I need the silence!!! thanks a lot in advance to anyone replying.
