I know this is basic stuff to experienced users and i have just started reading the forum. Mine is an MDLP model MZ-G750. it seems there are 3 levels of sound quality 1. analogue via headphones out (i've tried it...ok) 2. optical (i need a deck with optical out and can play lp2/4) 3. best quality digital with usb using MZ-RH1 (probably imperceptible difference) So optical seems most practical way to go...please advise.....what machines can do this? any available?

I have live recordings from a portable md (no optical out) in lp2 and lp4 mode. I want to do the best transfer to a digital sound studio to edit the tracks. Would an optical out be much better than using the headphone analogue out for the transfer? Where can i find an md player with optical out and lp2/4 mode? Or is there a better way for best quality
