I finally was able to track down one of these units with the LCD dock. However,when I got the unit portable minidisc player it does not play. I tried several other blank and used MD's but the player keeps displaying a disc error. I believe this player is a MZ-R50 with a slightly different button layout. Does anyone have any advice on how to troubleshoot or repair this unit?
I attempted to clean the lens but that made no difference. I am moderaty experienced in repairing audio equipment and have repaired a handful of sony walkmans & discman, so I just need someone to point me in the right direction.
