Sorry I was referring to features rather than memory capacity, Sony may sit back and see what the market is doing before leaping in, as it does rapidly change.

I understand what you are saying but the cost would be phenomenal and unrealistic to the market. Thus they make players that fit certain needs!

As saud before, Sony is not going backwards at all, it is part of a different range and also adding noise cancelling would just bump up the price and thus put it out of line with its competition! The player does still however have the other audio technologies to produce superb sound. and it should have Fm radio, along with the new E series!

Great little accesory, A similar one should be available for the NWA01x series, despite the new one having a speacial 2 layer protection coating

In reply to concerns over Sony Centres, yes they are national branded independent stores, so you will still find many Sony centres based in many towns and cities across the country, infact many new stores have opened recently on the back of great sales.

How do you manager to stretch this piece, its a bit big to place anywhere tightly in your ear - as it sits against your ear to give bass. if its wear and tear then they may not replace, I will try and look into this, are you UK based?

it depends what you want from a player, mp4/video playback? get the NW-A800. nest sound quality? get the NW-S700 series. easy as that, both have phenomenal battery and both more than the equivalent Apple alternative. oh and to support previous comments the NW-A800 series IS METAL

If you are UK based then pop into your local Sony Centre and buy the pack of 6 (2 small, 2 medium, 2 large) for a few quid! Otherwise as said above, see if Sony will replace on warrenty? Bueller
