Heman, thanks for the suggestion I haven't tried v2.01 as the upgrade procudure on the European site says "Network WALKMAN NW-A3000 with firmware version up to 2.01". The sony.com site says "Confirm that the version listed is 2.01 or less". I have version 1.00 so didn't think it necessary to go via v2.01. However, I'm willing to give it a try, but I can't find a download link for v2.01. Can anyone point me in the right direction. Thanks for your interest.

Yes, I've downloaded and tried the European, Canadian and Asian versions. All failed to update.

Forgive me if this has already been discussed (couldn't find anything) I have a Sony NW-A3000 (European), version 1.00 When I try to update the firmware to v3.00 I consistently get a "Failed to update firmware" message. The gizmo is fully charged and I am following the on screen instructions. Any suggestions? Thanks
