  1. Now I've solved the problem on SS, another problem comes The songs with Japanese characters in their names, after transfering to network walkman, cannot be displayed in Japanese. All I see on the screen are strange characters like E@#``& .... Does anyone know how to solve this??
  2. Really thank all of you for helping me Luckily, the problem has been sovled. Previously I mentioned that the problem is some of the MP3 files are recognized as Unknown Format by SS after importing, playback and transfer are both unsuccessful. Then, accidently I changed the name of a file which is originally named in Japanese, and found that everything was OK after importing it. So I tried to change some more files which are named in Japanese into English. However, I found that some of them still cannot be played or transfered after chnging the name of the file. Also, I asked a question in my previous post which sadly made u confused (T_T My poor English...). The question was "If files named in Japanese can be played and transfered after changing the names, then what should I do with the files named in English. " Some of the files which met the bizarre problem are named in English, so I asked should I change them into Japanese conversely? What I said above is about entire problem .... Then I found the reason for the problem last night: I bought my laptop in Singapore, it is using the English OS. However, I set the regional language (something like this) in the Control Panel to China, because when I use some chatting programs made by China, my English OS can't display the Chinese characters properly. My SS is also in English. What really caused the problem is that some of my music folders are named in Chinese. When I import, the path of the file being imported then, contains Chinese characters. I think it must be due to this the files are recoginzed as Unknown Format. So this explains the problem I mentioned in the 3rd paragraph. In the end, I changed all the folder names into English, and changed the file names which contain Japanese characters into English, everything went to well. (But still, I have to change the Japanese file names into English, it's quite troublesome) ... the whole problem is like this... I think ...
  3. And .. I really wonder how about those songs with English names? How am I going to change them ???? Into Japanese conversely ?
  4. Thx very much, Ikeda! 100% sure they are MP3... I tried dragging them into SS but cannot.. But.... It's really BIZARRE!!! I changed the name of a Japanese song into English, and imported again, everything's OK! What's strange is that some of the songs with Japanese characters in their name can be played without changing. In fact before this I have already followed the "Titleing Japanese..." and changed the AreaCode in Registry to 40000 --||| Really can't understand what's going on -__-
  5. Hi, I just discovered this forum and find it quite useful, but still one big problem I'm facing currently can't be solved by reading the articles. I bought an NW-E016F yesterday, together with SS 4.3. When I import my music, three situations emerge: 1) The music file is imported in the format of MP3, playback and transfer both get no problem 2) The music file is imported in the format of WMA, playback for most songs are not OK. I mean, when I double clicked the file, nothing happens. (Only for one or two songs playback is successful). As for transfer, almost all failed with a dialog box saying "Transfer is not allowed" (What makes me not understand is that all of them are not copyright protected) After reading a previous article in the article, I tried the method of converting the WMA files into ATRACT3PLUS, and all transfer after converting is successful. 3) T_T HELP!! Quite a large number of my MP3 files, after importing are recognized as "Unknown format", playback results in nothing happening. Transfer fails saying " Cannot load the rights information for the selected tracks. The file format may not be supported by SonicStage." - All of them can be played using other programs (WMA, Media Center), and can also be transfered and stored on IPOD by using Itunes. - I tried to open them in programs like GoldWave and save them as MP3 format, but it doesn't help either. - I redownloaded some of them from Internet again, and found that only when I set SS as default player and choose "Open" instead of "Save" before downloading, playback can be done. However, after some time when I was to transfer them to my walkman, it said "files cannot be found" (I think it's because they are stored as temporary file) It will be really crazy for me to download all of them again and this might not help either in the end... I'm really frustrated with SS 4.3, 2 or 3 years ago when i use SS 2.0 such things never occured. Anyone knows how to solve this problem ??? Thanks very much!!!! (My OS is Vista Home Premium, sorry if you find my language strange, English isn't my first language )
