I had problems as well nd then it finally worked when i put it in the video folder instead of the folder where the spiderman trailer is. Try this it should make your files work.

Yes you need 4.3 if you have vista.

I live in the US and I just bought 2 NW-A808's. The reason was for the ATRAC support. ATRAC 64 sounds great so it basically makes the A808 the equivlent of a 16GB player. I have all my music in ATRAC and did not want o rerecod everything. Other differences are ranking the songs and being able to delete songs on the A808 that cannot be done on the A818 as far as I know.

This is such great news to me. It means that ATRAC may still live on. I love my 2 NW_A808 i just got. I thought they would be my last ATRAC players but now there is hope that I can get a new one next year. ATRAC 64 rocks.

I just received my NW-A808 and E016 and the sound on both of them is incredible with music in atrac 64. I live in the US and bought the A808 because I love Atrac. It makes the A808 like a 16GB player. I have 3400 songs and still have 1GB free. Its a real shame that Sony will not make any more players with Atrac. I also have no problem with SS. If anyone has music in Atrac I would highly recommend getting the A808 over the A818. I doubt someone could hear the difference between Atrac 64 and MP3 at 192 exept you can have 1/3rd of the capacity. I compared the sound of the A808 to the Iphone and the Iphone sounded like the radio compared to the A808. The A808 even sounded great with the crappy iphone earphones. I actually also bought a apare A808 so they will last me a few years. I am not sure what you could ask for more in a player than the A808. Its sad something so great will soon be no more.

I think it is a shame Sony is dropping Atrac. The compression is the best out there. I think Atrac 64 sounds great. I just bought the A808 and E016 so I can keep using atrac and ss. I have no problem with ss. By using the A808 with Atrac 64 it makes it equivalent to a 16gb player.
