This probably will not be of immediate help, however I have was able to install a working copy after reinstalling Vista. I installed the software first, prior to any other software ( Roxio) to avoid any clashes, and it has worked perfectly. I did have a copy of Roxio installed on my ( new ) PC with a manufacturers Vista installation. I can only suppose that one or other of the installations caused the problem. Following my re install of Vista, some other niggles were also resolved as well ! I suspect that this may be your only option. Vista does re-install relatively easily. You may need to re install motherboard chipset drivers following a new install.
