  1. Just bought a new 32gb x series so im gonna let these go. Sony NW-HD5 20GB Black in average condition few minor marks from general use. The black seems to show them up more, comes boxed with manual, sonic stage disc, mains charger, usb sync cable, unused headphones and a brand new rechargable battery. Player works and sounds great and still holds a good charge. This is my spare unit i have 2 other hd5's 1 is linked to my home stereo system, great line out function and the other to my sony incar headunit using the connects 2 adaptor. Imo the best sounding mp3 player ever, the x series has a lot to live up to. Im looking £50 + postage Sony NW-A3000 20GB Purple in as new condition, comes boxed with manual, connect software disc, usb sync/charger cable, unused headphones and a brand new rechargable battery. Unit has had less than 30hrs use, so is in mint condition. Cant really say much more except it has the usual excellent sounding sony quality and battery life you'd expect. Im looking £75 + postage Sony NW-A1200 8GB Black in as new condition, comes boxed with manual, connect software disc, usb sync/charger cable and a protective sony soft case. Unit as above has had very little use even less than the A3000 maybe 15hrs playing time. Im looking £50 + postage Prices are open to offers Items are located in the uk, paypal payment preferred, items will be sent recorded insured 1st class mail. Any other questions dont hesitate to ask via PM or email darrenDOTmillarATtalktalkDOTnet Cheers D
  2. Cheers on the point of copy protection is that thru ss or on the cd itself ? ive ripped all my cd's using dBpoweramp cd ripper to the external hd first, i dont think there is copy protection on the ripped mp3's but how would i check ? D
  3. I been using the hd5 now going on 4 years, every since reading the review on abi. Excellent sounding player so much so i own 3 of them. 1 kept in work, 1 linked to my sony headunit with full controls and charging and one linked to my sony av amp in the house. The only let down is SS software i find it easily enough to use but upgrading pc's etc is a pain. Ive gone down the road of ripping all my cd's to an external hd in both flac for future use and mp3 vbr 160 mbps for dumping into SS. I thought i could install the SS software to that Hd aswell and it would also store the files, but ive found that i can use the hd to install the ss sofware but any music files end up on my laptops hd. Is there a way round this, ive tried twice now thinking there was a custom install but still end up with the SS software on the hd and the imported files on my laptops HD. Thing is ive a shed load of music ripped and downloaded in mp3 format 100gb + to install into SS that i was hoping to have on that hd and only use it for SS. any pointers Cheers D

    sonic stage help !

hi, ive an hd5 full with all my music that was created a couple of years ago on an old computer, and ive just bought a second hand a3000 which id like to fill up with the music from my hd5. ive ran inro trouble before with doing this as it says it does not orignate from this computer, sort of thing !!!!! is there any way round this without havin to go thru loading all my cd's again onto my new laptop and then onto the a3000 ???? cheers D
  5. fitted my hd5 to a cradle in my boot and linked it to my head unit via a "connects 2" connector, all works fine. (woopeee 20gb of music controllable via the head unit im my coupe ) only problem now was recharging the hd5 ! i have also a psp with a incar 12v socket charger and reading the spec's of both the hd5 and the psp chargers the seemed compatable. took a ignition 12v feed from the wiper motor and took apart the car charger soldered the + - and hay presto. start the car the hd5 gets power and full access thru the sony head unit. the psp charger had the same yellow right angle charging connector as the hd5. does anyone on here see there being a problem with the above ? is running the hd5 on charging/power bad for the unit or battery ? or does the battery get bypased ? thanks in advance just to get the sonic stage thing sorted now, im unable to transfer my libary nearly 20gb @ artrac64 (so a lot of cd's) to the replacement player as the car one is going to stay in the car. any new tracks added to ss transfer ok but my libary wont. later D
  6. Got A Bit Of A Problem, Recently Aquired Another Hd5 But Sonic Stage Wont Let Me Transfer My Libary To The New Player Does Anyone Know A Way Around This ? If I Add A New Album To Sonic Stage It Lets Me Transfer It To The New Player Ok But No Joy With Existing Albums. Thanks In Advance D
