  1. Hi there, for your information, just some things I noticed whith my new A808: - The SonicStage and the Image Converter software don't seem to go along with each other too well. If both programs are running in parellel and one is transferring data I experience errors. - Image Converter Software: Converting and transferring video data at once can cause errors with some material I have. When doing it in two steps, i.e. first converting to hard disk and then transfering the data, I have had no problems so far. - Image Converter Software: One error I had while transferring content resulted in an MP4 file with a file size of zero byte on the A808. This file couldn't be moved/deleted. Using the DOS utility checkdisk repaired this. I used "chkdsk e: /F", where e: is the drive letter. Save the lost clusters to a file, they can be deleted afterwards. - Some MP3s I transferred could not be played (wrong format). When I checked the song details in the Atrac window (Sonic Stage), I noticed that the format info (MP3) was missing. Deleting the file and transferring it again has solved this up until now...
  2. Ok, I found the solution myself... :-) I remembered that I'd managed to crash the player the first time I used it . The screen froze, and I had to do a hardware reset. As it were always the first 3 files of an album that would'nt be transferred, I suspected that the problem would be somewhere in the player or the software, and not in the mp3 files. I decided then to format the player and restore the factory settings on the player. After that I had no more transfer errors! I just hope that I'll not crash this baby any more... ;-)
  3. Hi pomj, thanks for your help. I saved one of the files with mptrim, but still it would not be transferred... Then I deinstalled all the software and installed it again. After that, even more files could not be transferred. I just don't get it. I also tried using a laptop of mine. Same thing. I talked with Sony support today, and they asked that I send them one of the files I couldn't transfer (they said sometthing about the signature). I feel like I'm doing beta testing for Sonic Stage...
  4. Hi, I'm having trouble transferring my MP3 songs to my A808. When I transfer albums to the device I nearly always get an error message that one song of the album could not be transferred. Unfortunately no reason is given for this. I checked the file names and tags, but everything seems normal compared to the other files of the album. What I don't understand is that, as far as I noticed, only one file an album cannot be transferred while the other ones are OK. I also noticed some problems with certain albums when importing them to the music library. When the error occurs the first file of the album is imported and the rest is not. I'm using a brand new A808 with FW 1.02 and Sonic Stage 4.3. I would really appreciate some help here... :-) Thanks, Olli
