  1. The name "A850" got me worried at first, but I see there's nothing my A846 has to fear. Nothing new besides the tasty new colours.

    Sony NWZ-A808

I have the same problem. 1267 ATRAC songs on my A806, and SonicStage won't transfer them from the player to the PC. You can actually manually copy and paste the songs by delving into the system files of the A800 in Windows Explorer, where you'll find them with random file names. However, if they are in ATRAC format, SonicStage will refuse to play them as it will consider them of dubious origin without "playback rights", and I still haven't found a converter. I'm not sure if this applies to MP3/WMA files.
  3. As a W202 owner, this just feels like a slap in the face.

    NWZ-W202 Help...

From what I've experienced with my W202, there shouldn't be anything user-accessible from the viewable file system that would disable playback completely simply by deletion. In the first place, I'm surprised you wiped out everything and not just music files. If you're not confident about drag-and-drop, I recommend simply syncing with Windows Media Player - it's a failsafe way to get music on the W202 and into the correct directory.
  5. It was useful for me. Not everyone is looking for the same thing in the same place. I hope to get a 32GB A846 when it goes on sale here in Singapore next month. 64gigs would be nice, but it's not an absolute necessity for me right now and knowing Sony, would probably be eye-wateringly priced anyway. Scary thing is, I have a feeling the 32gig model will be too. If the price of $499 in the scanned pic above is in AUD it'll be no joke... but I've waited too long for something worthy of replacing my trusty A806.
  6. I honestly find SS quite trouble-free to use, except that it's painfully slow and the album art assigning is annoying. Other than that it's pretty straightforward to use; no bells or whistles but then again my A806 has plenty of those already.
