it might interest everyone to know that the remote control from my minidisc player works on my A3000 (the code on the remote is RM-MC11EL) it's only got limited functonality (i can't get track information or access the menu, but most of the other functions work.)

i recently bought an a3000 player. very happy with it. the connect software leaves a lot to be desired though. now i've had it updated so it actually works and will transfer files, but for some reason i can't use the connect store. it won't let me register. i only want to beacuse i've got a free album download to use. help.

i got one of these players today, and i have to say i'm quite impressed with the player. less so with the software but that has been discussed at length elsewhere. the player charges while attached to the usb port whether you are transferring or not. the usb cable can be connected to an adaptor to recharge the unit when a computer is not available. as a side note, the sound quality is better than my friends ipod.
