  1. MY car has no audio in port or USB slot, just a CD player and a radio, so will the WM port work these devices? and if not, does anyone know of any car related accessories i can get for the x series?:S
  2. @bob123. yeah it does seem a little odd. it strikes me as something that they put in and didn't finish, makes it feel a bit half done:S still, maybe sony are to put up a firmware update? (we can only hope:P) despite them posting that massive loss this quarter. hmm
  3. on the X series music screen, when you go on the option menu for the song(which gives you the normal options like detailed info, play mode, playback range, equalizer etc.) there is a final option: 'Add to wishlist' anyone know what this is about? it doesn't mention anything about it anywhere in the manual, or on any media bumf i've seen. interesting to see if other people have noticed
  4. I've actually asked Sony why it won't accept playlists from iTunes this was the reply: Thank you for your recent e-mail received on 04/07/2009 11.37 PM. I am sorry to learn of the difficulties that you are currently experiencing with your Sony NWZ-X1060. In response to your e-mail, I can confirm that the Sony NWZ-X1060 is not compatible with iTunes for importing purposes. This product will accept DRM-free songs that were purchased from iTunes. However, it will not support the use of iTunes for importing purposes. This was not an advertised feature of this product. guys, i asked them why it won't accept playlists, and to be honest, this isn't exactly crystal clear it would seem we're stuck to using WMP11 and wma files only if we want playlists:S Songbird says that it supports asx. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/.asx), and doesn't mention anything else. maybe i've got a dodgy player
  5. BCR-NWU5 working is definitely good news, but yeah for some reason it just says no to any iTunes playlist i try to drag. I've got the most up to date content transfer, and iTunes, and it does not work. sorry guys. :S not happy, and also, i'm going a little off topic:S
  6. I nearly bought one, and i've decided i won't invest in one until sony fix a new found problem: it won't read playlists, unless they're from WMP11! pathetic if you ask me.
  7. I'm from the UK, and i tried ordering it from here: http://www.bhphotovideo.com/bnh/controller...G&A=details there was a problem with ordering it, and i didn't want to risk leaving my money in limbo so i cancelled it. it's a discontinued model as far as i'm aware, so my local Sony shop don't and won't stock it. I'm looking to just get the dock at the moment, the problem with some of the Sony products is although they have the quality, they are just a little overpriced. and what's more, the dock means i can use that otherwise pointless slot thing that comes in the x series box. Again, i'm struggling to get hold of one of them, but i'll try and get back here as soon as i do:)
  8. The CPF-NW001 does have a WM-port, i'll order one today, and let you all know if it works. thanks guys.
  9. I want to buy a dock for my x series, but can't seem to find one anywhere. the CPF-NW001 cradle looks hopeful, but it doesn't explicitly mention backwards compatability(it's an old model designed for the A series). can anyone help? thanks.
