No silver one in UK so far even on the website. The colours are blue/violet.

I have seen the violet in Comet in UK, it's more of a purple. Not seen the bule yet, and son is after one.

Thanks for this, at least I know I have the option of using sonic instead of connect which suits me fine as at the moment my old windows 98 SE (please do not laugh) do not support connect. I am still waiting for the right time to buy a new computer. Son cannot wait to get it. I will tell him to use sonic instead of connect. Are there any advantages of using connect, the players are very similar? It's apity in UK, I have seen them only in violet.

Really been put off by the bad reviews of the connect software. I want to buy one for my son for Xmas unfortunately there not many choices for colours, the only one in the shop is violet. I am just wondering if any of you have bought this model, what do you think of it? I have read you can use sonicstage instead of connect. I intend not to install connect when I buy it and use sonicstage instead. Do you think it is a good idea? I am only interested in something that works. He wants this model in blue because it is small and has a radio. The NWE 507 is very similiar but uses sonic except the NWA 608 has 2 gb. Any comments welcome.

I have seen some in the shops in UK, but mainly violet colour and son wants the blue one but my computer windows 98 SE will not support the software. I will buy a new one but not until after Xmas for the sales. At the moment I have got sonicstage version 3.3, Stuge, do you think, if I use sonic instead of connect, will it work. Son has his library music in Sonic. I would also like memebers feedback on the new NWA 608. Also, I think, I have read that there is a clock on the Sony NWE 407. I have just download version 3.3 a few days ago, do I need to update any software or driver. Thanks

Please, is there a tutorial for using the sony NWE 407, the e-manual is such a pain? I bought it for my oldie husband. I think I have managed to copy and tranfer his favourite tracks but would be grateful if I could have some tips from other members e.g I have double copied some tracks and do not know how to delete them on the walkman.? I am an oldie myself but more adventurous and will try new things. How do you delete when the memory is full? Basically I would be glad if I could have some simple instructions how to make the ost of the walkman, nothing complicated, just learn how to use it and copy tracks. Thanks

I am in the UK, bought one from e-bay from a seller in Hong Kong for my oldie husband. I do not think, he will know how to charge it as the USB's protection on the MP£ player looks quite fragile and will take long before it is damaged. I thought an adapter will be easier for him to use when he travels. I guess, I will follow people's advice and not use in case it damages the walkman, it does say it is generic, do not know what that means. I am an oldie myself and have to learn how to work these new cadgets. Please do you know how can I delete some tracks on the player. Trying to learn by mistake I have double copied some tracks. The e-manual is such pain, give me a hard copy anytime. Thanks.

Thanks, seems I have wasted my money buying one from e-bay, the seller did say it is compatible with MP3 etc. Can you please charge your battery using the usb and using the internet at the same time? Also being a newbie how do you delete tracks on your MP3 NWE 407? Have not had time to go through the manuals. Thanks again

Can you use any usb portable ac adaptor, like the one use for the Ipod? They are selling on e-bay cheaper. I just bought one for my NWE 407, but am a bit concerned in case I dameged the walkman by using it. Your advice, please. Thanks

Just bought a sony nwe 407, it was meant to be a sony nwe 507 with a radio, but made a mistake when ordering. Had problem with the software version 3, only when I downloaded version 3.3, it worked. Does anybody know why, please? Also can I use a USB travel adaptor when cannot access a computer. Sony does not recommend it, wonder whether I will damage the walkman if I do use one. Just bought one from e-bay from a seller in Hong kong, a bit concerned now. Can you use your computer whilst charging the battery? Really I bought the NWA 680, and was pput off by the comments of the software and was glad when it was out of order. I have a windows 98 SE, it is also possible, the new modesl are not compatible, does anybody know? Thanks
