I recently won an ebay auction for a NW-HD5. Can anyone please tell me if there is an alternative to using sonicstage for loading music onto the player. Many thanks.

I have never had a sony Mp3 player before and the only reason I am on the lookout for one is because it has a dedicated line out that I can use with my portable headphone amp. I can get a used A1200 from computer exchange so maybe i'll go down that route, I also live in london. I hope when I get one that the hack to fix the volume limit is easy, many thanks again.

I have a chance to get a NW-HD5 at a very good price, I live in london england and understand that there is a a french law in europe that restricts the volume level. I mainly want the NW-HD5 because it has a line out and want to use my C&C BOX+ portable headphone amp with it. My question is will the line out volume be restricted in the same as as the headphone volume would be, I understand there is a hack to fix the volume but I wondered if it affected the line out volume in the same way. I am really interested in getting a NW-A800. I live in the UK and of course we have that awful french law that regulates the volume level in europe. I have 2 choices either I purchase from ebay and get a japanese import or I get one from the UK with a lower volume output. Does anyone know if there is or will be a volume hack for the NW-A800. I am interested in purchasing the NW-A1200 and live in the united kingdom. I take it the stupid EU french volume restriction still applies on this model. My question is can it be volume hacked like the NW-A1000 & NW-A3000. There is no mention of it on this forum. Many thanks

Sorry if this seems a dumb question but I have just purchased a NWA1000 and want to update the player to Version 2.01, I see the link for the update on this website and just wondered if there is any difference between the firmware for each region of the world, if so what in your opinion would be the best region to download from, many thanks for any replies.
