  1. Does anyone know of service manuals available for the a82x series. I realise they're only new out, but I'm curious to know how easy they are to get into and if you're able to upgrade the memory in them. 32gb compact flash available (and 64gb apparantly). Sounds like the perfect upgrade to me. Has anyone pulled theirs apart yet??
  2. Nope. As I said, it' recognised and able to transfer on XP computer (eng version). Same version of SS and all
  3. Not quite the same model, but I've got the new Japanese release only NW-a919. To answer previous questions, there is no option to change menu language to english, but it's easy enough to figure them out anyway. Now if someone can help me out. I have 2 computers, one running XP Pro, and the other Vista Premium. After finally getting the drivers installed correctly in Vista, it is now recognised as a USB/removable drive under windows, but Sonicstage does not detect it. My XP machine had no trouble installing drivers, and Sonicstage can detect it so I am able to transfer tracks Atrac files onto it. Both computers are running the Asia Pacific version 4.3. Does anyone have any ideas why my Vista Sonicstage is not detecting it?? Any help is greatly appreciated.

Yep, tried installing CD drivers but to no avail

    nw-a919 question

Nope, can't switch to english, (I was duped by the salesman) but as I said, it's fairly self-intuitive. Also from what I can tell, the manual for the a8xx model is nearly identical.

    nw-a919 question

So I've recently purchased the new Sony NW-A919 whilst I was in Japan. Navigating around the menus etc is very self intuitive, but my major problem is actually getting the player to be recognised by my computer. I'm running Windows Vista Home Premium, have the Asia Pacific version of SS 4.3, and have previously had no problems with the Sony HD-1 or HD-5. Upon attaching the device via USB I get the following installation error: THE DRIVER FOR THIS DEVICE ARE NOT INSTALLED (CODE 28) AN ERROR OCCURED A SERVICE INSTALLATION SECTION IN THIS INF IS INVALID. Anyone have any idea how to fix this?? Windows will eventually install a generic USB driver for it and it will recognise the drive so I can transfer video/photos/files onto it, but not music. (SS doesn't recognise it). Interestingly, I tried an install on my older computer running XP, and no problems there, so I'm able to transfer music etc via SS on to it. Any help/comments would be greatly appreciated
