  1. Is it possible to eliminate this effect by using the line output and a headphone with adjustable volume? This noise really bothers me very much. Are there other devices which do not have the noise? E.g. the new Kenwood device? I listened to 5g iPod of my girlfriend - I did not recognize that noise.
  2. I have this white noise too. It's meverytime you strat the files. And it's the same noise if you turn the volume to 1 or boost it up to 20. Maybe the amplifier is not that good? It's not a digital amp... Besides the MZ-NH1 with high quality digital amp did not have it - and I sold it thinking I would get a more up to date unit... :-(
  3. I don't know if it's the noise of the HD. I don't mean clicking but whooshing - I hope that's the correct word for German "rauschen". But I will check if it's gone when the harddisc-access is over.
  4. It's only when I start the Mp3s but not resulting of the MP3 itself, because it is not growing if I higher the volume. But if you hear music with very silent parts you notice it.
  5. And you didn't notice the noise? It's only slightly, but that's what my ears told me... ;-)
  6. Hi! I'm a new owner of the NW-A 3000. My first impressions of the unit are good. But I notice a slight noise on my headphones starting the MP3. But I think it's not part of the files. I read somewhere the noise to signal ratio of the headphone amplifier would be around 86 dB and for the Line out at 96 dB. Is that really good in comparison to competitors? I think my MZ-NH 1 had less noise on the headphones... Have you any experiences? Do you know test reagrding sound quality? Greetings Michael
