I had the same issue. I sent it in to Sony and they sent me a new one.

the screen displays full battery icon now. it stays on the screen, never goes away. reset makes screen blank but full battery icon comes back on.

The player does not power on when I press play but when it is connected to USB the power comes on and the computer detects the player like normal. After disconnecting it from USB the battery full icon is displayed and stuck on that screen. Any help would be appreciated thank you.
