hi stuge guess what!!! atrac3+ 192 doesnt work with hd1.i am willing to compromise a bit on quality say about.128 kbps-192 kbps.please let other members know this too. pretty sure a few of us have this problem.

Hi everyone I own a few atrac devices and badly stuck on this one. Which atrac format runs in all sony devices.if possible can someone suggest something with decent sound quality something to the tune of 128 to 192 kbps in atrac. I got a big problem as i have to reencode my music 3-4 time for different devices.

Hi Ascariss,regarding the whinging about nokia being better than a Sony player.i reckon there is probably something wrong with her choice cause if you cant differentiate between a ferrari and a ford,they are all the same.No V8 Ford is ever gonna beat a V8 Ferrari.Therefore no amount of audiophile headphones can improve the sound if a nokia cause they would sound much better with a Sony hdd player.I happened to test 192 kbps mp3s direct from cd on my W850i and HD5 and the hd5 blows the shit out of the phone.the smoothness and fidelity is just not there and even the N91, the phone probably used by --malice,sounds punchy but nowhere near the hd5.tell her to fix her hearing instead of the mp3 player cause my tests were done using a pair of Bose triports and the koss plugs to test their range over expensive and affordable models and the jurys clear on this one.tell her/him to try hi-md at 292 sp and then see if her nokia sounds better!!!!! Hi everyone, been really busy lately therefore unable to contribute much but promise to do so in the future.Regarding sony all it needs to do is get its hand out of the sand and start building stuff that just works.9 out of 10 people out there cant be bothered about ATRAC lossless or atrac 352.nutters like me do so but my dad wont be able to spell atrac properly i reckon.to ensure its survival, sony should fix its software to something simple which just transfers music at a decent bitrate automatically,(atracplus 132 sound ok for most people) and for the maniacs who subscribe to this website,it should hide the complexity in the Preferences or Options column.it should be import playlist and export to player without any dramas of sonicstage.
