  1. The same tip is on this web page . They mention that I need an cd to do this tip. The link is in the top of the web page. You can then download the hole cd of SonicStage CP 4.3. Then you can change the SetupSS.ini file with an editor, and install it. But the cd you download is the US version of the install cd. Do some one know about the europe version of the cd, or how I could fix this?
  2. I have not encounter this problem with any of the other program when using diskeeper 9. I have not tried windows in built disk defragmenter. Maybe I should try that, when I go to sleep. Is there any one else with the same problem, and that have tried the windows in built disk defragmenter?
  3. After I defrag hardisk with diskeeper 9, connect player wont work. When I click on rip nothing is hapend. The only thing is that where you before clicked rip you have an option to "quit this action". Nothing hapend if you click on it. This hapend every time. I reinstall connect player, and it work. I defrag it dos not work. Window xp pro I have the newest update to connect player: Connect Player version 1.0.02.11170. Auto-Update version 1.0.02.11150.
  4. The ripped cd is on an extern hardisc. So I told Connect Player in preference to store the ripped cd there. Are there no need to backup, or take a copy of "C:\Document and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Sony Corporation\CONNECT Player\Library"? Or just take backup, or copy "C:\Document and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Sony Corporation"?
  5. I have litle over 21 cd on Connect Player for now. But now I plan to reinstall window. Wich files is importent to copy so that I dont have to rip and catagories all this cd again. I just want to have it just like now, after an reinstall. I also have extra hardisks to store on. -Windows xp pro. -Connect Player with the newest update. -Sony NW-A3000, firmware 2.01.
  6. I have a double cd. Cd 1 is a data and music cd, ordernery music files. Cd 2 is a clean music cd without any text files on it. My problem is how do you get Connect Player to recognaise the music files on that first cd. The man that made the cd have inplanted a book inside the first cd, and music. Problem is that no file program, or Connect player see the music files so that I can convert them to atrac. But cd player, Windows media Player and Real Player recognaise the music files and offer to rip them to mp3 files. I searched Media player in property and find that they use some thing like protocols and files type; to recognaise wmpcd://0/1. Where 0 is the drive number, and 1 is the song number. It was all that I could find out about it, I'm no expert in this. So how do I get Connect Player to recognais this ordenary music files that is invisible in ech windows explorer, ech. Or is this just a miss from they who made Connect Player. Some one know how I can get this ordenary .cda files out of the cd or somthing. So that I can get it to my nw-a3000 player. When I click start>my computer I see the icon and a name. It read NOCOMP (F:). The icon have + and a note in front of an cd icon.
  7. It work at last. I found out that you have to use the same rule on Connect Player as gracenote using on "Genre". And it's to bad that there is no easy way to change a Genre after you have ripped the cd. If you want to change an "Genre" after ripping the cd. You have to do it one by one track at a time. It should be an option to change the hole cd by just entering an text once, and then the hole cd change the "Genre" for the spesific cd. Just like you could before ripping stage.
  8. Here some more info: -Windows xp pro, sericepack 2. -Connect Player version: 1.0.02.11170 -Auto update: 1.0.00.10180 -Sony NW-A3000, firmware 2.1. -Installed before, and deleted the library directory. -Sync mode manual. - Have you used the "scan" or "directory import" methods to find your newly ripped files? What happened then? I can tell that it's scaning, but nothing shows up in library after. -Had 17 cd installed, and all worked then. I deleted all 17 cd from connect player, hardisc, and NW-A3000 player, because it was tricky to try to rename Genre after they where ripped. So I beginned to rip the cd's, and change the Genre to something I want before ripping stage. Then I sudenly discover that they would not register in library with some different Genre name than they first get from gracenote. One thing to ad is that; when you look at group by "all track" you will se the cd registred in library. But not when you look at it group by "Genre" it would not show nothing.
  9. New info on above qestion. I dont think the Library work as it should. If you try to change Genre to something else that gracenote give you before ripping the cd. It would not register into Library. So if gracenote give "Genre" the name "General Rock", and you make it another name, it just want not register in Library. Some one else with this problem, or an solution to it.
  10. Nothing is registred in Library inside connect player anymore. I have tried to uninstall connect player. I have delete the library on the hardisc where the riped file is stored, and this directory is also deleted "C:\Document and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Sony Corporation\CONNECT Player\Library" before I reinstalled Connect Player again. So when I try to rip an cd, nothing is registred in library on connect player. But if I look where the file is stored on hardisk hardisk I can see the file is created there. I have also the enterde the right file location in preference where the riped cd's shall be stored. This is so frustrating. I have the newest update for connect player installed. And my mp3 is an NW-A3000.
