I just got a a818 and i switch from an old ipod nano. My playlists are still in itunes and I would like use those to sync to my a818. I used this to change the xml itunes exported playlist to m3u8 then imported to media monkey. However, some, but not all of the asian characters show up. I think some of them most not be in the correct unicode format or something. I am running vista 64bit in English if that makes a difference. Same issue with wmp11. Winamp reads the m3u8 perfecly, but I can't sync it with winamp. Any suggestions on what I can do? Thanks for the input.

i guess this forum isnt big enough to make it self sufficient with a staff or anything. although i thought it might be cool expand the site to include tvs, pcs and cameras if it ever gets to sonyinsider.

I've been looking into getting a different pair of headphones to use when I workout. I have been using sony ear buds(ex-71), but I find that the closed ear bud type isn't the best when you're sweating or when someone is trying to talk to you. Anyone have any experience and recommendations with regards to any of the sports headphones sony, senhessier or any other company make? I know these headphones aren't designed for the best sound quality, but I'd still like some decent sound quality with comfort. I think they'd also be useful in situations where you also need to be able hear sounds from your surroundings. Thanks for any suggestions

just got a psp and im looking at what memory to buy. i figured someone would have written about this already, but you cant search 'ms pro duo' (all the words are under 4 characters). so my question is do speeds matter? and if they do, which ones are better? ive already seen the post on the fake ones so no worry about those. ive seen online ones by sony, sandisk, and lexar. seems like the most deals are on the sandisk ultra ii one. any opinions or suggestions? right now im thinking to spend around 50 bucks, hoping to get a 2gig with decent speed. saw a recent post on fatwallet for the 2 gig duo pro untra ii for 50 after rebate, but the rebates expired now.

i searched region in the psp section and didnt see anything. i figured someone would have covered this already, maybe im just blind. anyways, so my friends got me a psp from taiwan ( i live in the US) on the box it says region 3, im remember reading somewhere that the regions for games dont mattter, so whats the point of the region? is it for umd movies then?thanks

ive been a sony supporter for sometime, and ive been waiting for the a608 to come out in the US, but so far it doesnt seem like sony has solved software issues. i preferred sony because they have had been one of the manufacturers with better sound, the battery life on sony products are uncomparable to anyone else, and plus their products look different. Although id have to admit the 4 gig nano is probably more ideal for me because thatll pretty much fit my music collection, but the battery life on it isnt as good, and ive known too many people with ipods that have had problems. i think the ideal mp3 player would be one that was 6-8 gig flash and have a battery life like an a608. what do you guys think?

glad to hear that it works. ive been thinking about getting an a608 in japan and using it in the US. from what ive read from you guys only the fm frequencies are different? it seems to be for sale on the sony canada website (less colors though) and i think the fm frequencies for the US and Canada are the same so im thinking about getting it from there instead. although the emerald color from japan looks really cool. btw do you any of you guys know where you can buy that besides from sony (im talking stores in Japan, preferablly tokyo)?
