    Selling NWA-3000

Take it back to comet. I'm pretty sure they have to take it back if it doesn't do what it's supposed to do. Just tell them it doesn't work and you want your money back. All electrical goods in the UK are protected by a 12 month warranty, it's a basic statutory right.
  2. Hi gang, first off let me say I'm impressed and relieved to find such a well-functioning community for those of us living in the nefarious world of ATRAC-based audio devices. I've got a bit of a problem with my NWA-3000, and was wondering if anyone could help. Basically, I've been using sonicstage 3.3 to transfer music to my NWA-3000, and to be honest everything has been working like a charm for the last month or so. I had been reading these forums for a bit after some problems with CONNECT software, and so decided to uninstall it, and go to sonic stage, as the advanced random playback features and such don't particularly interest me. Everything was going well until yesterday, when I started getting the message "Device/Media Not Connected" in SonicStage 3.3. It worked intermittently, and I managed to transfer a few songs, but now SonicStage does not recognise that the device is connected at all. The walkman is connected, Windows sees it immediately and i can transfer files to its hard drive fine with explorer and whatever. But SonicStage just doesn't see it. It's immensely frustrating. I have tried upgrading to sonicstage 3.4, but that does the same thing. Any ideas what could be causing this, and what might be a potential solution? I've tried different USB ports and even different USB buses, but the damn thing isn't showing up in sonicstage. I hesitate to go back to CONNECT because I don't see why that should make a blind bit of difference, but any help that you guys could give would be most appreciated.
