  1. Hey guys, As mentioned in the thread title, I have a Sony NW-HD1 which came with SonicStage 2.1.01.06290. For the past few years, I have had absolutely no problems with the device. However, when I recently tried to transfer new music onto my player, the files wouldn't play properly. To be more specific, they play as if they're in "fast forward" and also contain glitches or skips. I've tried transferring several different music files and they all sound the same once on the player (they play in fast forward). The funny thing is that the music that's already on the player (from previous transfers) works fine, so I've pretty much ruled out a hard drive failure. I've also uninstalled and reinstalled SonicStage, but that doesn't seem to fix the problem. Even more interesting is the fact that the music plays perfectly when imported into My Library. It's only once I transfer the music to the player and try to play it from there that the files sound like they're being played in fast forward. I even tried using different USB cables and ports (in case the old ones were damaged), but the problem still persists. With regards to the USB dock that came with the player, it seems to be working fine in terms of recharging the battery, so I don't think the dock is damaged either. If you have ANY idea what may be causing this problem, please let me know. In my opinion, it seems to be a conversion problem. I'm just not sure how to rectify it. Your help would be much appreciated. Thanks! EDIT: After spending hours uninstalling and reinstalling different versions of SonicStage and reformatting my NW-HD1, I finally solved the problem. All I had to do was simply disable ffdshow.ax I guess I should have tried that first. =/
