Well if you have Connect, when you go to transfer tracks onto your mp3 player it shows all the tracks on your mp3, and you can delete them there with the remove option. Perhaps SS has a feature like that, but I know it definately works for Connect. Sorry

I did that shortly after I made my second post, and I now have a code. My bad, though perhaps the main page on the site should mention that, to prevent any confusion in the future. Thanks for your help, much appreciated!

I was looking at your site, and I saw the article on a free album, and I thought 'zing!'. But unfortunately, upon registering, I have received no code, and have been left a little disappointed. Has Sony discontinued this, as like any other NWA-3000 owner, I faced nothing but annoyance after annoyance. The only thing I can think of where I went wrong is that I on the product you own, I chose 'NETWORK WALKMAN HDD', as it seemed the most suitable choice. Is there a list of devices to come up, as I am not seeing them? Or does this whole thing only work on SS now?

Got it, thanks for your help. I will let you know how I get on. EDIT: Update went smoothly, thanks again!

Well it doesn't work for me on IE, and when I tried it with Firefox, I got this:

Firmware download for nwa3000 for Europe with Sony has been down for 2 days. Anyone got an alternate link that is reliable?
-
Yeah, some of my dylan moran standup mp3s are now Johnny Cash songs for some reason.

Something to do with Windows MB being bigger than a normal MB for anyone else. This produces the 2gb difference when the player is formatted for Windows. If you look, it is in the manual if I recall correctly.
-
That is true, but getting a 4 hour life span out of a walkman that I paid £160 for isn't really that great either.

I have had it since the 20th December, and I have noticed only a slight improvement in the battery life. It seems I will have to send it back then, if you are getting 13 hours. I will try to get a replacement, as I do really like the NWA3000.

Well, as the title may suggest, I am in need of a way to boost my battery life for my NWA 3000. It is at best 8 hours, and that is at half volume. I have read up, and I am mostly playing mp3's at 128kbps. At full voume it seems closer to six. I have tried the draining process. A noticable point is that my nwa had 2 bars of charge when I got it, so I stuck some songs on it to drain it, unwittingly charging it. I am going to get a replacement, as the battery must be faulty. So does anyone have advice for proper charging ritual when I get the new one? The manual gives nothing on the first charge, so I am left wondering...
