  1. dumb question, i noticed the name is mp3 file mangaer.. you can still transfer wma songs rigth?
  2. agreed mckinley, this is the only player ive heard such a horrible backround noise in..... even the cheap ones get by without it!!
  3. well il guess il check the bitrate, but could that have anything to do with backround noise? glad to hear that somnone else has this problem, its a pain in the ass when listening to calm songs.. and every song at low volumes, and of course its unacceptable on a player in this price range... i payed 2500nok, equal to around 370 usd....(prices are high in norway ) i use the standard headphones that comes with player.... but i have also tried with one other pair..still the fuzzling noise... Also tell me what is the audio sampling frequency of the song that is not playing on your Player ? i have no idea, but im gessing it is the wrong mpeg layer or something(cant rememeber the name), however, even if it is the wrong layer(or whatever it may be) its still really bad that a 370 usd mp3 player wont play it, when i 20 dollar player can... even my aging iriver does..
  4. im not really sure what bitrate i use, but there is as you call it a hiss noise in the backround... and it is really annoying when listening to at lower levels..... and about the error, any way to fix it?
  5. so i bougth the a--608 hoping for a really good underated player(compared to the ipod nano).. i guess i was wrong, i got a horrible backround noise who makes a constant wwooooosssh sound.. is it only me who has this backround noise? furthermore my not so beloved a-608 refuses to play one of my favourite songs.. i dont know why, the song(babayetu ) is a MP3 file it has no protection, basicly it is a free song who is up for grabs at the composers home site... the song also plays well on my old iriver mp3 player.. i get the error, cannot play... why???? any ideas, on how to make it work?
  6. well then we are in the same boat... and were not sailing anywhere im trying out connect rigth now.. seems kinda..alrigt, il guess il meet the problems later
  7. well i just got the nw-a608 player, despite all the warnings about the horrible software.. anyway, is it really that horrible? what i do know is that with connect you get all the functions the player has, you almost certanly will have problems with transferring and some ripping. and it is slow and converts everything to atrac(not sure on this, can anyone confirm??) with sonic , transfering and ripping cds is like a walk in the park. it doesnt convert everything thing to atrac(again not sure on the last thing) the bad thing is that you will lose some of the functions, and lose the ability to upgrade firmware?? file manager is a easy drag and drop program that will make it easy to transfer, though its only drag and drop it will still make youre songs fall under the rigth artist, genre, and album?... havent really heard to much about the file manager so plealse tell me something about it... that goes for all of the programs, feel free to correct my wrongs and fill in my missing pieces... thats all i know, however i do not know what is the best option... so what do you think?
