A fairly simple question (I think). If I use an alkaline battery in place of the NiCd battery supplied (alkaline is used for longevity) and accidentally put the player on the charging stand with the supply connected. Is the player clever enough to know that it should not try to charge this battery, or will it try anyway with potentially dangerous results. Do I need to take out the battery when doing lots of recording for safety reasons? Has anyone any experience either way? Adelemon
